Governor Polis today amended an Executive Order he signed in July, and amended in November, designating Attorney General Phil Weiser as the State’s prosecutor, to investigate and potentially prosecute any offenses related to the death of Elijah McClain in Aurora, Colorado in August 2019.

Governor Polis and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment announced that the state has begun issuing one-time stimulus payments of $375 to Coloradans facing economic hardships related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Governor Polis provided an update today on the State’s response to the COVID-19 epidemic and was joined by Dr. Anthony Fauci, M.D., National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director. 

The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) announced that troopers will begin accepting the Colorado Digital ID™ within the myColorado™ mobile app as proof of identity, age and address for traffic stops within the state. The contactless Digital ID, downloaded by more than 75,000 Coloradans, provides residents a secure, safe and convenient way to exchange information with troopers. Colorado is the first state in the nation to offer residents the option to electronically transmit digital identification, vehicle registration and proof of insurance to law enforcement.
